For those of you on the West Coast right now you could do a lot worse than head to Portland right now and attend PDX Pop Now! at Refuge PDX (116 SE Yamhill, Portland, OR 97214) on July 20th – 22nd for (free & all-ages). This year’s fest will include performances by AAN, AU, Lord Dying, Onuinu, Radiation City, White Fang and more.
PDX Pop Now! also puts out a yearly compilation highlighting the talent on display in the city of Portland. With bands of the calibre The Decemberists, The Thermals, The Shins, Blitzen Trapper and Sleater Kinney having contributed in the past this is again something that is very dear to the local scene.
The funds from the festival as well as the compilation are reinvested in outreach programs for music in schools, guaranteeing all ages show and other musical endeavours.
