Such word pairings describe the debut EP of Amason – a confluence of Swedish musicians Pontus Winnberg (Miike Snow), Gustav Ejstes (Dungen), Amanda Hollingby Matsson (Idiot Wind), Petter Winnberg (Little Majorette), and Nils Törnqvist – members of the Stockholm-based artist collective Ingrid.
Soft harmonies, sweet horn interludes, and atmospheric vibes tell a dreamy and hypnotic story that is hard to resist. I want to take an endless drive in the country, Amason on repeat (thankfully, the video for “Went to War” makes this virtually possible)
