Ben Phipps offers undeniably strong slice of pop in “Alive”

Dropping effectively in that gap between post-dub and gorgeously catchy nu-soul, Ben Phipps‘s ‘Alive‘, featuring the wonderful vocals of Ashe is quite a simply a hit waiting to happen.

Like a Rhye song after a hit of speed and a long hard look in the mirror, and sweet, haunting vocals reminiscent of the talented Gabrielle Aplin, ‘Alive‘ reminds me of those nights you don’t intend to end up sexy, but after making eye contact across the room with that someone and a myriad of dark shadows to disappear into together, it’s a night you’ll be trying to replay in your head for years- And much like the song, be trying pining for that first listen for years to come.

Ben Phipps is a twenty-five year old deep house producer hailing from Stockholm, Sweden and Ashlyn Willson, is a Northern California native and a songwriter and arranger in her own right. Their previous work has seen them top the iTunes top 10 Dance Charts and Spotify Viral 50.

Together they created a modern, exciting and undeniably strong slice of pop and I can’t wait to hear more.
