Lovers on the Edge leave a mark with “Divine Stillness”

From the very first listen, “Divine Stillness” pulls you in, the way a character in a dark Hans Christian Anderson fairytale is drawn toward the insidious and sinister. The thick, industrial bass line, with machine gun drums and twinkled guitars, with only a sensual, siren-like vocal, enhancing the beauty of it.

Lovers On The Edge is a musical project that came together through the shared experiences of exploration and open heartedness. The trio had just finished hiking the gruelling 500 mile Camino De Santiago, where they wrote songs on ukelele and drank wine in the forests at night. They returned the following year to record what they had written. The result is a wild and quite beautiful torch for the youth.

Divine Stillness” conjures up a longing for freedom, and a freeness to let every experience leave it’s mark on you. This haunting pop song certainly left its mark on me.
