Good music transcends borders and nationality. In this age of internet connectivity, the gaps between what we consider “established” music markets and new territories have narrowed considerably.
Take “Lost In The City“, a track I fell in love with long before I knew anything about the band who had created it. That band is Dutch three-piece Dansu and in just under 3 minutes they deliver a ridiculously catchy slice of electro-tinged pop. This is the second single the outfit have released and it wouldn’t feel out of place on a record by the likes of Phoenix or Two Doors Cinema Club both in terms of immediacy and appeal.
The band are no strangers to the road having played shows in Canada, Sweden, Germany and this month plan to travel across to Israel where their previous single “Do Do Do” has proved to be an unexpected radio success.
Bonus points for the lovely video shot in one of my favourite cities in the world; Tokyo.
“Lost In The City” is out now!
