Magana is an artist we’ve been keeping tabs on for a while. Her recently released ‘Golden Tongue‘ EP has seen her win praise from some of the most influential tastemakers and on the basis of “Inches Apart” it’s entirely clear why.
The track is a haunting number that relies on a minimal arrangement to convey huge emotions showcasing vocals float over a gently picked electric guitar in almost otherworldly fashion. There is an audible torment in the vocal delivery that’s impossible not to empathise with. The video works as a great visual accompaniment to the track featuring bleak sceneries juxtaposed with wonderful choreography, which is fitting given it was made by director Lauren Finerman (New York City Ballet)
