Having just posted Dead Seem Old‘s wonderful animated video for the track “Mischief” it;s fitting to now feature Troup‘s equally delightful video for the track “Always On Fire“. Directed by Andrei Staruiala‘s using rotoscoping & 2D animation techniques over live footage. The result is truly mesmerising and it’s clear why the LA band picked this for their visuals.

Taken from their 2016 EP ‘Mercury and Gold‘ the track offers more hooks than a pirate convention. “Always on Fire” unabashedly takes its cues from 70s rock heyday rulebook and tinges with a modern twist that keeps the track interesting after multiple listens.

Featuring members from the US, the UK, and Italy, this international bunch are making all the right moves and I’m eager to see what 2018 will have in store for them.
