Every now and again a track comes round that haunts you. “Fire“, the first single from the album ‘Saint Cloud‘ by Waxahatchee has been that track for me. While the gorgeous instrumentation lulls you in it is Katie Crutchfield unforgettable vocal delivery that keeps me coming back.
The track was conceived on a drive across the Memphis river and if you close your eyes you can almost imagine being there too. If that doesn’t help the video clip does a good job of recreating the journey.
