This, plus a bunch of songs,  is all the information readily available about the mysterious outfit. This deliberately sought anonymity forces listeners (and lazy reviewers) to confront the music and form an independent opinion but it does help that the tracks are extremely enjoyable or I wouldn’t have bothered posting this.

Coming across like a mix of Cougar favourite Nite Jewel and modern day Cocteau Twins, Golau Glau mix organic melodies with electronic sounds (I’m pretty sure I can hear Super Mario coins in there) to create perfect and compact dreamy compositions.

Do you really need a pretty press release and some pouting images to judge a band?

Two of my favourite acts of the year, Nite Jewel and Gold Panda (who I only seem to feature on weekends), are playing Cargo‘s Kaleidoscope Caravan Club tonight as part of the Honesty Box Payscheme.
