Giant Steps is a London 3 piece formed in 2009. The impressive soul filled tunes of The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and The Impressions shaped the young band’s sound.
Their debut single ‘Tolerate‘ was greeted at Cougar HQ with knowing nodding and an outbreak of pens tapping coffee mugs; which is quite an endorsement from our Rainman-esque crew. The track was inspired by 1930′s New York photographer WeeGee who practically invented what we now know as candid photography.
Keep an eye out for Giant Steps this year, I have a feeling there is more nodding and tapping to come.
Thank you to everyone who came down on Saturday night to ‘Hands Up Who Cares‘. I really enjoyed my DJ set and it seems most people enjoyed my picks(particularly you drunk guy shouting “brap/blur/brap” randomly). Kick Up The Fire put on a great show showcasing some new material and got some bodies moving. Next ‘Hands Up Who Cares’ is on the 11th of July, see you there?
