In a further ode to the summer repeat offenders The White Panda have offered up yet another wicked mashup for our aural delight.

Taking that cheeky devil R. Kelly and peppering him over The Beatshakers is a sweet move and there is also a hint of Major Lazer to screw with your brain some more.

This one is so suited for a pool party it hurts like chlorine in your eyes.

It has been a while since we featured a good mashup and even longer since The White Panda graced these pages. In this time the boys have been keeping busy plugging their third album ‘Pandamonium‘ and filling dancefloors across North America.

I’ve argued before that in my mind what makes an ideal mashup is when I am familiar, and preferably love, the tracks involved. The Chicago based duo have a knack for doing just that.

Big Boi‘s ‘Shutterbug’ has been one of the biggest hits of the past few months showcasing the rapper in impressive form. its is therefore no surprise that producers and djs worldwide are flocking to fiddle with it.

The legendary The Hood Internet give it a laid back vibe by mixing it with Foals’ Miami single to great effect.

Having just featured The White Panda taking on Duck Sauce last week it is awesome how prolific these guys are. This time they mixed Big Boi with Discovery achieving a similarly laid back feel though perhaps hinting more at the electro roots of the original.

Elsewhere Brooklyn‘s Sub Swara give it a much more eerie feel in their remix. This is a taster before the duo release their second album in November and is sure to get people talking.

That ‘Barbra Streisand ‘ track has been everwhere over the past few months so it was only a matter of time before The White Panda got their filthy paws on it.

They took the Armand Van Helden and A-Trak stormer and injected a dose of Gucci and a hit of Weezy to shoot it out of the ballpark.

It has been a while since I posted a good ol mashup on Cougar Microbes so these The White Panda mixes arrived just at the right time.  the American duo fuck around with some of the most popular hits from rap and rock’s recent heroes.

Mashups always tow a fine line between genius and cheese, if you are into this kind of thing you will love it and if you aren’t you are likely to cringe.

They say variety is the spice of life and I think The White Panda demonstrate plenty of  flair in my books
