Yelle chiselled out some of their more bombastic tendencies, but none of the fun, on their enjoyable 2020 album ‘L’Ère du Verseau‘. Frontwoman, and band namesake, Yelle is utterly hypnotic throughout and makes me want to see them live.
“Noir” shows that no amount of quarantining and lockdowns can keep the French outfit from making people groove. The track and its accompanying video are a tribute to the versatility of the colour black.
Just like their favourite hue, Yelle show tremendous versatility and should be busted out in every scenario.
