Parquet Courts returned from a 3-year gap with the album ‘Sympathy For Life‘ and the single “Homo Sapiens” fires on all cylinders. Gritty and fuzzy, yet razor focussed, the track sees the New Yorkers take on consumerism and our current technological malaise.
At first glance, the accompanying video is a “standard” live performance in a room kind of affair. However, the band delivers it with such gusto and the camera angles manage to capture the immediacy of the track, fancy dress permitting.
