If you are of a certain generation the sound of Ben Gibbard singing over soothing electro beats and spacy keyboards will bring you immediately back to the Postal Service‘s seminal debut.
With this in mind, it was a great idea for producer Tycho to recruit Gibbard‘s distinct vocal ability for this track. Having already remixed Death Cab For Cutie in the past this was a no-brainer.
The result is a breezy and optimistic track that falls somewhere between the two men’s output. It is neither full-out indie nor full-out electro but still sounds captivating without forgoing a sense of familiarity.
