FKA twigs - pamplemousse

Weekend Videos: FKA Twigs “Pamplemousse”

FKA twigs has truly outdone herself with ‘Caprisongs‘. The eclectic mixtape sees her branching out into new territory, featuring a fusion of Afrobeats, choral compositions, and bursts of rap. The project is a joyous and addictive experience, with the UK singer-songwriter describing it as “A journey back to myself through my amazing collaborators and friends.”

Undoubtedly a standout moment is “Pamplemousse,” a short and electric number about fun memories shared with friends. The music video, directed by Aidan Zamiri and Yuma Burgess, offers a vibrant visual representation of the song. With a series of images and digital renderings of FKA twigs flashing in front of an ever-shifting backdrop, the stop-motion direction is a feast for the eyes.
