Clark croons about disappointment, hardships, and the parts of life we simply can’t control. He talks about these things from a positive perspective and preaches acceptance.

The lyrics are simple and repetitive but that only adds to the song’s charm. It also gives it a very hypnotic feel. The lyrics can be interpreted in your own way, so that makes a song worth coming back to again and again.
As the teaser of his upcoming experimental album, the single shows an artist who is ready to take risks and explore new ideas all the while staying true to his indie roots. “I’ve Seen You Around” may seem like a song that doesn’t catch your attention instantly, but give it a chance and it’ll definitely pull you back for another listen.
Swamp Music Players – “Run With Us”
If you are a lover of 80s synth-pop, Swamp Music Players’ single “Run With Us,” needs to be your next jam. But wait, there’s more to it. The band takes the iconic theme from The Raccoons and reshapes it into a vibey mix of 80s rock, synth pop, and alternative pop that feels fresh with that added 80s charm.
Dark synths and crunchy guitar solos give the track a cool edge, while Hilary Beckett’s vintage-style vocals add character. The band also decided to record with old-school equipment. I think it’s a great decision as it gives the performance a warm, worn-in sound that suits the song perfectly.
There’s also a fun sense of mystery surrounding the production, from the Detroit studio sessions to the guest guitarist known only as “The Swamp Wizard.” Whether you grew up with The Raccoons or are hearing the song for the first time, “Run With Us” delivers a nostalgic ride that’s easy to get hooked on. Fans of synth-pop acts like Bronski Beats will especially love it.
Madrid Exit – “Dark (feat. Delachute)”
Madrid Exit captures a very specific feeling on “Dark.” Imagine leaving the club after everyone else has gone home, with neon lights still glowing but the excitement slowly fading. That’s the mood this track gives off.
The Montreal-based artist has collaborated with fellow musician Delachute in this project. Inspired by classic electronica with clear Aphex Twin influences, Montreal artist Alexy Préfontaine (who leads this act) builds the song around warm analogue synths, dreamy vocal layers, and a hypnotic rhythm that pulls you into a trance. Delachute’s haunting vocals float through the mix, adding to the track’s trance-like atmosphere.
There’s also a subtle sadness embedded in the production. That gives the track more personality. It trusts its mood, and that’s what makes it such a memorable electronic release.
Banquet Darling – “Shivers and Echoes”
Banquet Darling’s single “Shivers and Echoes,” is full of attitude and confidence. The project, piloted by Todd Kilby, blends indie rock, post-punk, and psych pop influences to present you a groove-heavy ride that’s impossible to ignore. Gorillaz fans, you definitely need to listen to this song!
Punchy drums and distorted guitars give the song edge, while subtle piano elements keep things dynamic in the background. Kilby’s husky vocals and stacatto-style delivery is the showstopper, adding to the song’s playful vibe.
The lyrics leave space for listeners to connect the dots, exploring desire and hidden emotions through atmosphere-building rather than storytelling. That only makes the song more mysterious.
