From an eclectic mix of two multilingual hip-hop songs of contrasting moods and a sensual r&b soul track, the Hip Hop June 2026 is all about connection.

Igor – “Lisboa Na Cabeça”
“Lisboa Na Cabeça” feels like listening to a hyperactive mind that refuses to switch off. Literally translating to “Lisbon on my mind”, the bilingual song was written by Portugal-born, London-based artist Igor during a moment of homesickness and escapism. Recorded on his iPhone, the lively soundscape mirrors how he’s mentally stuck in Lisbon while physically in London.
The production is boom bap hip-hop, loaded with record scratching sounds and chopped-up high pitched vocal samples that dance around the rhythm. Igor displays a lot of versatility, balancing multiple rap flow switch ups with smooth r&b vocals. “Lisboa Na Cabeça” is ultimately raw, frantic and very fun.
AnTri – “Rendez-Vous”
It’s hard not to feel like a third wheel with AnTri’s “Rendez-Vous”. Singing and rapping in three different languages, AnTri’s latest release is a very sensual, romantic song where each language acts as its own texture and reflects the borderless nature of instant connection.
“Rendez-Vous” is built on a subtle Latin-Mediterranean beat and sparse, acoustic guitar licks. It’s the very picture of minimalism and AnTri’s voice does all the work. His voice sounds like an intimate whispered confession, almost ASMR-like, making the listener the sole focus. The fast rap section never disrupts the mood; it only heightens the tension, leaving you waiting for the “Rendez-Vous”.

Xavier Bryant – “High Stakes”
With “High Stakes” you get everything you’d want in an r&b soul song – emotion, melody and a mood that lingers. Xavier Bryant, who is a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native deeply inspired by the r&b greats, builds a song about the “High Stakes” that comes with investing your heart in someone.
The song production has modern textures as well as the sincerity and songwriting of early 2000s r&b. However, it’s Bryant that anchors the entire piece with his honey smooth vocals that glide over the slick instrumentals. It reminds me of artists like Usher and Musiq Soulchild. There are “High Stakes” but enjoying this song is an easy bet.
