Strange Divine – “Buried Deep”

What makes Strange Divine’s Buried Deepremarkable is its certainty piercing through its own world that’s deeply uncertain.

The melody holds its centre without making any unnecessary shifts or trying to stir drama. The instrumentation carries a finer texture throughout, each pass revealing something previously hiding in the mix.

It’s unknowingly made for that moment in an indie film where the side character goes through a life-altering circumstance but the only choice is to sit with it in silence.

Dave’s Manual – “Electrical”

Dave’s Manual is a band that knows their sound. Right from their debut “Amy”, they’ve consistently found their focus with each song. With “Electrical”, the band focuses on the message while fluently flowing through the instruments:

“Don’t worry about tomorrow.
Everything’ll be okay.”

It’s not a radical idea but it’s hella fresh, making you want to jump into an open roof car with a couple of friends and just drive away into the sunset.

Cover for The Radio Addicts - "Let's Party Like It's the 90's" - Indie/Rock June 2026 #9

The Radio Addicts – “Let’s Party Like It’s the 90’s”

Nobody told The Radio Addicts they weren’t alive for the 90s and honestly, thank god for that. They just inherited the 90’s vibe through some glorious genetic accident of guitar riffs and sheer nerve, then sprinted straight into the studio before anyone could explain.

The song is wordy, messy, fast, and heavy and wears all four words like badges of honour. And then they brake right in the last 30 seconds letting you sync in, like that one moment in the party where everything slows down and you’re just there before turning up the speed back up for the rest. Fun!

Mark Moule – “Eyes of Izzy”

Mark Moule’s “Eyes of Izzy” starts with a breezy acoustic opening that unlocks a distant afternoon and introduces a name half-forgotten: Izzy Orloff, a photographer who introduced the camera to Western Australia.

Mark steps outside of his comfort zone writing about a subject other than himself for the first time. But in doing so, he’s created a track far more intimate than just a generic tribute.

My favourite element has to be the crowd hum towards the end of the track. It suddenly feels like you’re part of a celebration remembering a person and their art that you you knew nothing about 5 minutes ago. What else can we expect from good folk music?!
