It’s been a long time since we first featured Lara Snow and while her offering back then was undoubtedly more abrasive and discordant a clear lineage can be drawn from those early releases to today.
Her recent single, “Swim Far“, is so far the greatest demonstration that what was possibly a rough diamond is now a polished jewel. With a bigger focus on melodies and brilliant use of dynamics, the track is gloriously and unashamedly pop without forgoing the non-conformists edge that has made her so interesting from the start. Built on an evocative synth foundation, the track graciously evolves with the introduction of new rhythmic patterns and luscious harmonies. Possessing a hook that you’ll be humming for days to come “Swim Far” was written with the repeat button in mind.
