This blog’s full name is pinched from the excellentTom Wolfe book ‘The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test‘. In it (if I recall correctly)Ken Kesey urges his gang of Merry Pranksters to descend on towns and infiltrate their mentality like ‘Cougar microbes marching in like army ants...’

The plan is hardly ground breaking: to feature an array of amazing releases and artists (past, present, old and new) with the goal of promoting them to anyone interested and anyone who stumbles across this site. Cougar Microbes is mostly written by me with some notable guest posts by people whose input and insight I respect. Let me know what you think.
