Louie Cameron – “Do You Wanna Go Out?”
Louie Carmen,a London and Hamburg based songwriter and bassist after years of playing for other bands releases his first EP, his leading title ‘Do you wanna go out?’ is a somber number with counteractive lyrics, It evokes the same feelings of sitting in the backseat with windows down and feeling the wind in your hair, it’s melancholic lyrics are countered with ‘Do you wanna go out?’ almost like a chant. It’s accompanied by soft guitar strums and bleak vocals.
Recorded in London, ‘Do you wanna go out’ is the brainchild of Louie Carmen and Pat Dam Smith and is an easy-to-listen song that crawls into your brain and plays on a loop.
Santi Forget – “North Star”
Santi forget Toronto-Canada and Peruvian-based alternative pop and R&B artist. In her single ‘North Star‘, she pays homage to her hometown, Toronto, with easy-going, jazzy, swingy beats with groovy beats and her soulful vocals.
‘North star’s’ every single line captures her love towards the city, and her memories in the old park dale, old city bike lanes, and the open laws. This is someone who loves their city and loves repping it. The song feels like a found tape from an overexposed film camera capturing every lovely memory from the eyes of a romantic person whose subject is the city they love.

Rivermind – “Nightlight”
Rivermind, a band from Thun, Switzerland, is an alternative rock band. Their single ‘Nightlight’ (also known as nachtlicht) sounds like a dream; the vocals, especially with their airy falsettos that melt into the air and tiny hints of yodel, are an absolute treat to the ears. The bass and drums keep the whole song on its toes. The whole track is well polished, where all the layers of textures and instruments lift each other while still shining.
There is a soft pause in the song, which gives way to a guitar solo followed by the melody of the vocals. ‘Nightlight‘ is the thin balance between being lost and being on the right track. The uncertainty of whether the light is guiding you or helping you stay lost, mixed with heavenly vocals and grounding beats, is what makes it a go.
Mattock- “Lil’ Busted Fox”
Mattock is a band from Southern Maryland, which is a collaboration between Guitarist Casey Brandt and Drummer Jason Fletcher, who reconnected during COVID and formed Mattock. ‘Lil’ Busted Fox’ is the leading track from the duo’s summer album ‘Daughters’.
‘Lil’ busted fox’ sounds like a score for a western film, if you ever happen to need a song for a hero’s entry, this would be it. The track starts with a drum roll followed by the guitar, the textures and layers of instruments are very driven by both their rock influence, and there is a presage of folk influence, completed with the southern drawl in every word the singer sings.

Daniel Karl Morgan – “Speak the Truth”
Daniel Karl Morgan is an indie pop-rock artist based out of Llanelli,South Wales,UK. His latest single, ‘Speak the truth,’ is a humorously dry, upbeat, peppy song. It somewhat reminds you of ‘Sweet Caroline’ by Neil Diamond, with the way the artist sings ‘Speak’. It also feels like the lyrics are taking tiny jabs and urging someone for an envisioned answer.
The bright and happy song with set strums of guitar that takes a pitch change at the halfway point takes a 70s pop twist, ends with a dialogue ‘A white line every now and again is perfectly fine. Goodnight, everyone.’
